Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hobbiton Athletic's Johnny Neville started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, one of Hobbiton Athletic:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alec Scargill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ged Hargrave recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hobbiton Athletic's Lucas Langford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alec Scargill in the 21st minute of play. Tony Marston kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Bobby Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, KS Sheffield's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Neville came free, but Sol Mayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alec Scargill came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the KS Sheffield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alec Scargill couldn't finish the play. Ged Hargrave took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sol Mayo. Sol Mayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alec Scargill was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alec Scargill in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Langford saved Hobbiton Athletic from getting behind. Lucas Langford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bobby Rogers in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Bobby Rogers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 62 minutes, Alec Scargill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Sheffield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alec Scargill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, KS Sheffield's Trev Boothroyd got a free kick in the 67th minute. KS Sheffield's Sol Mayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Neville in the 68th minute of play. Alec Scargill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The KS Sheffield fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when KS Sheffield's Alec Scargill looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. KS Sheffield's Alec Scargill got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Bobby Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. KS Sheffield's supporters rose to their feet, but Bobby Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Langford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alec Scargill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Langford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Hobbiton Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Rogers came free, but Lucas Langford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Kristopher Bedford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KS Sheffield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hobbiton Athletic the free kick. Lucas Langford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alec Scargill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bobby Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the KS Sheffield players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
