After 96 minutes Scottish Red Scarves's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dale Welsh who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in David Leadbeater heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the match was over Twyford could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Scottish Red Scarves throughout the match.
