After 18 played minutes Botley FC got a freekick which was hit by Shane Baum. The supporters of Botley FC booed when Sunder FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paddy Higgins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Botley FC's Doug Houghton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Botley FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Sunder FC booed when Botley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Baum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donald Vaughan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 38 minutes into the match, Sunder FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lance Owen came free, but Donald Vaughan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wesley Coyle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donald Vaughan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Botley FC's Allan Stride got a free kick in the 88th minute. When the match was over Botley FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sunder FC throughout the match.
