Spectators: 7519 (Terracing: 5640, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mark Haxby made the kick off which started today's match. When Tony Marston fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hobbiton Athletic's protests and gave Tony Marston a yellow card for diving instead. Tony Marston hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Ted Goldsmith came free in the 5th minute and tried to tip the ball over Lucas Langford, but to the joy of Hobbiton Athletic's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Johnny Neville sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hobbiton Athletic's Johnny Neville got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Ploughman hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sunder FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gwyn Woodford hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Sunder FC's goalkeeper Donald Vaughan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ged Hargrave. After 22 minutes, Rod Pilkington mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sunder FC and the Hobbiton Athletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. Donald Vaughan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johnny Neville's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Lucas Langford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Haxby in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Haxby in the 27th minute of play forced Hobbiton Athletic's goalkeeper Lucas Langford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ged Hargrave could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Donald Vaughan made a huge save. Ged Hargrave sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albert Norman kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Rob Bourton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sunder FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rob Bourton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Langford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sunder FC's zone, Ged Hargrave stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donald Vaughan came out of the goal and Ged Hargrave tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johnny Neville to make the kick off. Donald Vaughan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ged Hargrave, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Sunder FC's Rob Bourton got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mark Haxby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Haxby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Langford having to interfere. Rob Bourton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Langford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Johnny Neville fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donald Vaughan having to interfere. Lucas Langford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rob Bourton in the 70th minute. Donald Vaughan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ged Hargrave in the 71st minute of play. Johnny Neville fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donald Vaughan having to interfere. Donald Vaughan came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Hobbiton Athletic's Ged Hargrave. But to his dismay, Ged Hargrave quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Rob Bourton in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lucas Langford, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Haxby in the 85th minute of play forced Hobbiton Athletic's goalkeeper Lucas Langford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Haxby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute Mark Haxby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Langford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ged Hargrave received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Donald Vaughan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hobbiton Athletic's Lucas Langford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rob Bourton in the 96th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
