Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Felix Bridgeworth made the kick off and thus started the match. Sean Nevin kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Gregory Cardwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bredon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregory Cardwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Bamford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter Bamford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregory Cardwell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Bamford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Bartrup in the 11th minute. Gregory Cardwell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Bamford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Joseph Deaconsfield kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 30 minutes of play, Polperro's Felix Bridgeworth made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pete Longden was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 35 played minutes Polperro got a freekick which was hit by Ray Osmond. Gregory Cardwell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Bamford having to make a save. If Richard Bartrup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Richard Bartrup ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peter Bamford was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Polperro's Peter Bamford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Nicholson in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Polperro booed when Bredon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Nicholson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Bill Watts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Joshua Nicholson fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bredon FC's protests and gave Joshua Nicholson a yellow card for diving instead. Peter Bamford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Nicholson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Bamford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregory Cardwell in the 75th minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match, Bill Watts got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pete Longden was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Peter Bamford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregory Cardwell in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to Polperro getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Joseph Deaconsfield hit a great ball. Gregory Cardwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Polperro's goal looked a bit too open when Gregory Cardwell came free, but Peter Bamford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joshua Nicholson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Bartrup fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Bamford having to interfere. Polperro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
