Spectators: 7262 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dominic Gardner started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Pointon in the 3rd minute of play forced Sedgewick Collective's goalkeeper Trey Swain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paul Wilson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jay Sheldon, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Paul Wilson made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Simon Halliday sent off a good shot on target. Benji Ramsden kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Trey Swain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Gardner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sedgewick Collective's Ross Freeman managed to work through Eriks Engineering FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ross Freeman dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Trey Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominic Gardner, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benji Ramsden during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Simon Halliday blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paul Wilson having to make a save. After having played for 32 minutes, Benji Ramsden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eriks Engineering FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benji Ramsden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dominic Gardner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trey Swain having to interfere. Matthew Weston took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Trey Swain. Sedgewick Collective's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theo Pointon in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trey Swain saved Sedgewick Collective from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Sedgewick Collective's Ruben Garforth got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The corner led to Eriks Engineering FC's Gav Neville getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ross Freeman was the one to do the kick off. Ross Freeman's late challenge caught a Eriks Engineering FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ross Freeman helped the player get up and apologised. Ross Freeman kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Eriks Engineering FC's Lance White got a free kick in the 60th minute. Simon Halliday blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paul Wilson having to make a save. If Theo Pointon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominic Gardner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dominic Gardner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trey Swain having to interfere. Dominic Gardner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Trey Swain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo Pointon got free with Trey Swain in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Eriks Engineering FC's Dominic Gardner in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sedgewick Collective's goalie prevented a goal. 88 minutes into the match, Eriks Engineering FC's Theo Pointon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trey Swain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Dominic Gardner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theo Pointon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 98thth minute tested the skills of Trey Swain when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eriks Engineering FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
