The referee ignored Polperro's protests and gave Ian Bamford a yellow card for diving instead. Ian Bamford hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Polperro's goal looked a bit too open when Dominic Gardner came free, but Peter Bamford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Theo Pointon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. Theo Pointon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Peter Bamford when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Felix Bridgeworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Wilson having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Eriks Engineering FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
