Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Richard Edwards made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Laniakea Super Cluster's goalkeeper Tyrone Bramhall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zackary Hayes. Hayling Island's Liam Palmer got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liam Palmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tyrone Bramhall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Jasper Edmunds kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Eric Woodcock's late challenge caught a Laniakea Super Cluster's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Woodcock helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hayling Island getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Eric Woodcock hit a great ball. Richard Edwards sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Richard Edwards made a precise shot to the right of Andrew Childs. Hayling Island's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Hayling Island's Liam Palmer in the 29th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Tyrone Bramhall was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Laniakea Super Cluster through an amazing save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jasper Edmunds during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Laniakea Super Cluster got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Edmunds. Laniakea Super Cluster's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Eric Woodcock scored to the left of an out of position Tyrone Bramhall, making the score, 1-1. When Liam Palmer fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hayling Island's protests and gave Liam Palmer a yellow card for diving instead. Liam Palmer kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Tyrone Bramhall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Palmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liam Palmer was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Laniakea Super Cluster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jasper Edmunds to maneuver through the defense. Andrew Childs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Edwards in the 59th minute of play. Tyrone Bramhall came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hayling Island's Liam Palmer. But to his dismay, Liam Palmer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Liam Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Tyrone Bramhall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liam Palmer took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tyrone Bramhall. Tyrone Bramhall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Hayling Island's Andrew Childs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Hayling Island from getting a goal against them. Liam Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tyrone Bramhall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nick Halloran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Curtis Mead struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tyrone Bramhall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hayling Island. Tyrone Bramhall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tyrone Bramhall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Woodcock in the 88th minute of the match. Nick Halloran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nick Halloran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liam Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Tyrone Bramhall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hayling Island had played much better football throughout.
