Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gregory Cardwell made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the game, Hayling Island's Liam Palmer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pete Longden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Zackary Hayes took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pete Longden. Pete Longden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Pete Longden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Palmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Zackary Hayes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pete Longden was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Gregory Cardwell struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Andrew Childs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bredon FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Woodcock in the 30th minute of play forced Bredon FC's goalkeeper Pete Longden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Hayling Island's Andrew Childs got control of the ball when Richard Bartrup tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrew Childs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregory Cardwell in the 34th minute of the match. Gregory Cardwell took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andrew Childs. Andrew Childs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 44th minute, Liam Palmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Richard Bartrup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After a defensive mix-up in Bredon FC's zone, Liam Palmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pete Longden came out of the goal and Liam Palmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Richard Bartrup received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Andrew Childs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregory Cardwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Liam Palmer took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Pete Longden to make any attempt to save it. Nicky Shakespeare's late challenge caught a Hayling Island's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicky Shakespeare helped the player get up and apologised. Nicky Shakespeare kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Pete Longden made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Liam Palmer sent off a good shot on target. If Liam Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hayling Island's Eric Woodcock got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Eric Woodcock off the ground. In the 87th match minute, Hayling Island was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Woodcock to maneuver through the defense. If Richard Bartrup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Hayling Island's goal looked a bit too open when Gregory Cardwell came free, but Andrew Childs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Bredon FC's Pete Longden got control of the ball when Zackary Hayes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrew Childs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Bartrup went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score.
