Basil Lonsdale came out and tried to block the shot, but Philip Shipton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Roy Vine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Parkinson having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Insurance Management Bear got a freekick which was hit by Marty Brumfitt. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Insurance Management Bear's goalkeeper Perry Parkinson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 17 minutes of play, Manchester FC's Francis Sills made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Perry Parkinson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute of the match Kenny Beck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Perry Parkinson skillfully saved the ball. Insurance Management Bear's supporters crossed their fingers, but Scott Rayner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Nath Goodwick notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Insurance Management Bear's Perry Parkinson. Perry Parkinson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roy Vine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Parkinson having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Manchester FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Brumfitt came free, but Basil Lonsdale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basil Lonsdale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Shipton, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Philip Shipton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Kieran Illingworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Insurance Management Bear's Damion Wardman in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manchester FC's goalie prevented a goal. Francis Sills hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Philip Shipton might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basil Lonsdale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philip Shipton ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the match, Manchester FC's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Shipton came free, but Basil Lonsdale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Manchester FC booed when Insurance Management Bear was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dom Archer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conal Neville got free with Perry Parkinson in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester FC's zone, Damion Wardman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basil Lonsdale came out of the goal and Damion Wardman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Philip Shipton took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basil Lonsdale. Basil Lonsdale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Damion Wardman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Insurance Management Bear had played much better football throughout.
