Jeff Selby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Charles Coombe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steven Ellerby might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wally Avery. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Steven Ellerby ran back to his position shaking his head. Wally Avery was a little too slow when Liam Boston got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Chaz Burgess kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Benji Daly took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Charles Coombe. Kingstown's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Charles Coombe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donald Dobbs in the 32nd minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Steven Ellerby had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wally Avery. Bury St Eds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steven Ellerby was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 44th minute Liam Boston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Avery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liam Boston struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Wally Avery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kingstown.

Jeff Selby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Bury St Eds's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Ellerby came free, but Wally Avery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liam Boston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Bury St Eds's Rueben Bzeu got a free kick in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Kingstown's Vic Christie broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Charles Coombe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Selby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Donald Dobbs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeff Selby kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Steven Ellerby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charles Coombe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Selby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Donald Dobbs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bury St Eds's supporters rose to their feet, but Donald Dobbs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Coombe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
