Jay Dlyan had several of the San Marino's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 4 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Jools Singleton as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rod Coulthard charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rod Coulthard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Orpington FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Rod Coulthard hit a great ball. After 11 minutes, Jay Dlyan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orpington FC and the San Marino players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Orpington FC's Jay Dlyan got a free kick in the 12th minute. Miles Ring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franz Sawyer hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Rod Coulthard in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by San Marino's Todd Adcock. Miles Ring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jools Singleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Fitz Furlong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orpington FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fitz Furlong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jools Singleton was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Miles Ring capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Miles Ring really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 28th minute, Todd Adcock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Orpington FC's Miles Ring slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jools Singleton. That made the score 3-0 after 31 minutes of play. Fitz Furlong succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in San Marino's zone, Miles Ring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jools Singleton came out of the goal and Miles Ring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, San Marino's goalkeeper Jools Singleton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fitz Furlong. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miles Ring was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, San Marino's goal looked a bit too open when Miles Ring came free, but Jools Singleton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miles Ring in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jools Singleton saved San Marino from getting behind. Franz Sawyer hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Miles Ring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jools Singleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fitz Furlong in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jools Singleton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in San Marino's zone, Fitz Furlong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jools Singleton came out of the goal and Fitz Furlong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jools Singleton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miles Ring in the 68th minute of play. Miles Ring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jools Singleton having to interfere. After some careless play in the San Marino defense, Miles Ring kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jools Singleton. The San Marino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jools Singleton should have stopped the shot. Rod Coulthard hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. San Marino's Jools Singleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miles Ring in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of San Marino booed when Orpington FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Bland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miles Ring took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jools Singleton. Jools Singleton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the San Marino players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Orpington FC.
