Cornwall Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maroon the free kick. A collision led to Cornwall Fc getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Shawn Cardwell hit a great ball. Frankie Miller took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cliff Whitworth. Cliff Whitworth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zane Boyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Zaq Davison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Richard Stride was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maroon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cornwall Fc the free kick. After 16 played minutes Maroon got a freekick which was hit by Richard Stride. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivor Charles in the 17th minute of play forced Maroon's goalkeeper Cliff Whitworth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brendon Metcalf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Cornwall Fc's goalkeeper Zaq Davison had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zane Boyd. Cliff Whitworth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frankie Miller in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Cornwall Fc's Frankie Miller nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cliff Whitworth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damon Bridge in the 28th minute of play forced Maroon's goalkeeper Cliff Whitworth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zaq Davison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon Metcalf in the 35th minute of play. Keanu Skinner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cliff Whitworth having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frankie Miller in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cliff Whitworth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maroon's Cliff Whitworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathon Marsden in the 42nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frankie Miller in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cliff Whitworth saved Maroon from getting behind. When Keanu Skinner came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Cornwall Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keanu Skinner couldn't finish the play. Cliff Whitworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frankie Miller, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zane Boyd was the one to do the kick off. Brendon Metcalf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Zaq Davison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornwall Fc's Zaq Davison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zane Boyd in the 55th minute of play. If Frankie Miller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Fitz Butler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Keanu Skinner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cornwall Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Keanu Skinner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cliff Whitworth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brendon Metcalf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jonathon Marsden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frankie Miller got free with Cliff Whitworth in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cliff Whitworth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frankie Miller in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Maroon's goal looked a bit too open when Damon Bridge came free, but Cliff Whitworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 76 minutes, Jonathon Marsden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cornwall Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathon Marsden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th match minute, Maroon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zane Boyd to maneuver through the defense. If Damon Bridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Shawn Cardwell could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Cliff Whitworth however easily saved by the left post. Cliff Whitworth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frankie Miller in the 84th minute. A collision led to Cornwall Fc getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Shawn Cardwell hit a great ball. Keanu Skinner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Cliff Whitworth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornwall Fc's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
