Norman Wildman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jools Morning in the 5th minute of the match. Johnnie Ellis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norman Wildman having to make a save. Blair Pack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Great Addington getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Felix Granville hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, birmingham bummers's Len Jordoan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Phil Cheeseman. Phil Cheeseman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Great Addington's Phil Cheeseman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Great Addington from getting a goal against them. Phil Cheeseman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Merrill in the 24th minute of play. Phil Cheeseman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Len Jordoan, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Great Addington's Phil Cheeseman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Merrill in the 27th minute of play. Camron Smith took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Phil Cheeseman. Great Addington's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Sam Merrill recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Phil Cheeseman. Sam Merrill showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Gordon Pollard kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Great Addington booed when birmingham bummers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vance Cooke didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Sam Merrill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Phil Cheeseman was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Damon Hutchings's late challenge caught a Great Addington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damon Hutchings helped the player get up and apologised. With an all-out effort, birmingham bummers's Phil Cheeseman threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sam Merrill, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 48 played minutes birmingham bummers got a freekick which was hit by Marc Bridgeworth. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gordon Pollard was the one to do the kick off. Phil Cheeseman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Merrill, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jools Morning kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Norman Wildman. That made the score 3-1 in the 54 minute of play. Johnnie Ellis hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Sam Merrill took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phil Cheeseman. Phil Cheeseman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Phil Cheeseman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Len Jordoan in the 67th minute of play. When birmingham bummers's Blair Pack in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Great Addington's goalie prevented a goal. Great Addington's Phil Cheeseman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Len Jordoan in the 71st minute of play. With a little luck, birmingham bummers's Norman Wildman got control of the ball when Johnnie Ellis tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Milburn in the 77th minute of play forced birmingham bummers's goalkeeper Norman Wildman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phil Cheeseman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damon Hutchings in the 79th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Great Addington got a freekick which was hit by Lance Mason. After 82 played minutes, birmingham bummers's Vance Cooke shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Phil Cheeseman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in birmingham bummers reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damon Hutchings in the 87th minute of play forced Great Addington's goalkeeper Phil Cheeseman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Johnnie Ellis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Great Addington's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnnie Ellis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norman Wildman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes birmingham bummers got a freekick which was hit by Blair Pack. 97 minutes into the match, Great Addington's Johnnie Ellis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norman Wildman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. birmingham bummers had won after a very even match.
