Duncan Nevin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, The Rangers FC's Duncan Nevin got a free kick in the 8th minute. The Rangers FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Gordon Pollard scored to the left of an out of position Dennis Firth, making the score, 1-0. Phil Cheeseman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lance Miller in the 30th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duncan Nevin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gordon Pollard struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. In the 61st match minute, The Rangers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Farmer to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in The Rangers FC's zone, Brendon Holmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Firth came out of the goal and Brendon Holmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Pollard in the 64th minute of play forced The Rangers FC's goalkeeper Dennis Firth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Rangers FC's Dennis Firth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnnie Ellis in the 66th minute of play. If Johnnie Ellis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of The Rangers FC booed when Great Addington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malcolm Fairfax didn't get a good kick on the ball. Connor Sills kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Brendon Holmes missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 79 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Dennis Firth right hand side. 83 minutes into the game, Lance Miller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Rangers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Great Addington the free kick. Lance Miller hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Gordon Pollard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Firth was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the Great Addington players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
