Blair Pack received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dennis Firth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of The Rangers FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of birmingham bummers:s goal. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for birmingham bummers. Vance Cooke stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dennis Firth. 0-1. After 43 minutes of play, birmingham bummers's Blair Pack made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Firth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sam Merrill to make the kick off.
