Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rio Rowell kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Rudston's Wes Garner-Currie got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Rio Rowell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Congresbury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rio Rowell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Garry Willmott's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Huey Garforth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After 25 played minutes, Congresbury's Wesley Farrow shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gavin Hayes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Congresbury reached it. A collision led to Congresbury getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Crispin Phippard hit a great ball. Huey Garforth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ritchie Layfield in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Rio Rowell lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Gavin Hayes. 38 minutes into the match, Rudston's goal looked a bit too open when Rio Rowell came free, but Gavin Hayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Congresbury's Dion Blacksmith got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacob Gallagher during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jacob Gallagher hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Garry Willmott made the kick off in the second half. If Ritchie Layfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavin Hayes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dion Blacksmith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th match minute, Congresbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Crispin Phippard to maneuver through the defense. Dion Blacksmith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 played minutes Rudston got a freekick which was hit by Wes Garner-Currie. Rio Rowell charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rio Rowell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes Congresbury got a freekick which was hit by Rio Rowell. Crispin Phippard kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Rio Rowell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, Rudston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garry Willmott to maneuver through the defense. Rio Rowell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 minutes of play Rudston's Jacob Gallagher was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Rudston getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jacob Gallagher hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Rio Rowell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Congresbury walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
