An unexpectedly hard shot by Connor Vickers in the 3rd minute of play forced Crouch End's goalkeeper Sid Tomkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Christopher Radcliffe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crouch End's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wolf City the free kick. After 4 played minutes Crouch End got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Radcliffe. Sid Tomkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vince Ellis in the 7th minute of the match. If Connor Vickers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd match minute, Crouch End was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Griffiths to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Crouch End's goal looked a bit too open when Connor Vickers came free, but Sid Tomkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adam Clist came free in the 46th minute and tried to tip the ball over Eddie Hassell, but to the joy of Wolf City's supporters the ball went over. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Crouch End's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Connor Vickers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. Connor Vickers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sid Tomkin having to interfere. After having played for 72 minutes, Connor Vickers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolf City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Connor Vickers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
