Andrew Wootton might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marty Eastwood. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrew Wootton ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Marty Eastwood managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when The Titans's Yang Xi Di fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Yang Xi Di fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Eastwood having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kong Hong Cheng in the 14th minute of play forced Southbourne's goalkeeper Marty Eastwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, The Titans's Yang Xi Di nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marty Eastwood made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Walter Digby kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Gheorghe Hagi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marty Eastwood. Gheorghe Hagi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Marty Eastwood made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrew Wootton in the 28th minute. Marty Eastwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yang Xi Di, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yang Xi Di recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Yang Xi Di had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 36 minutes into the game, The Titans's Andrew Wootton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marty Eastwood made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Yang Xi Di sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Marty Eastwood managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when The Titans's Yang Xi Di fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The wind increased when Martyn Yeo made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, The Titans's Yang Xi Di made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marty Eastwood was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yang Xi Di fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Eastwood having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Andrew Wootton made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Southbourne's Marty Eastwood tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Southbourne's zone, Yang Xi Di stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marty Eastwood came out of the goal and Yang Xi Di tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kong Hong Cheng in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marty Eastwood saved Southbourne from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Southbourne's zone, Kong Hong Cheng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marty Eastwood came out of the goal and Kong Hong Cheng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marty Eastwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristopher Hancock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Tetley in the 84th minute of play forced The Titans's goalkeeper Richard Shephard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sean Tetley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Richard Shephard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gheorghe Hagi's late challenge caught a Southbourne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gheorghe Hagi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Gheorghe Hagi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Kristopher Hancock managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Titans's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristopher Hancock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marty Eastwood breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Fraser Ashby fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Southbourne's protests and gave Fraser Ashby a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of The Titans booed when Southbourne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fraser Ashby didn't get a good kick on the ball.
