Ted Bramhall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ritchie Bamford having to interfere. The supporters of Lisy Pszczykowo booed when Walton On The Naze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trevor Devaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walton On The Naze's Ritchie Bamford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Walton On The Naze from getting a goal against them. When Trevor Devaney, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 22 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Vic Blackburn was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lisy Pszczykowo's Vic Blackburn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gareth Todd in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Lisy Pszczykowo's goal looked a bit too open when Trevor Devaney came free, but Vic Blackburn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trevor Devaney's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vic Blackburn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Gareth Todd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Trevor Devaney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lisy Pszczykowo's Vic Blackburn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gareth Todd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Vic Blackburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Simon Holland fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Walton On The Naze's protests and gave Simon Holland a yellow card for diving instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ted Bramhall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ritchie Bamford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Bramhall in the 54th minute of play. After 66 played minutes Lisy Pszczykowo got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Reed. Lisy Pszczykowo's Vic Blackburn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Lisy Pszczykowo from getting a goal against them. Vic Blackburn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gareth Todd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Gareth Todd kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vic Blackburn. That made the score 0-1 in the 71 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Bramhall in the 79th minute of play forced Walton On The Naze's goalkeeper Ritchie Bamford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes, Lewis Payne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walton On The Naze and the Lisy Pszczykowo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lisy Pszczykowo's Ted Bramhall got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ritchie Bamford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Snowdon in the 88th minute of the match. Vic Blackburn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trevor Devaney in the 92nd minute.
