Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gareth Todd made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Southbourne's Chaz Addison got a free kick in the 6th minute. Trevor Devaney got in the 7th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Marty Eastwood handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Sean Tetley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ritchie Bamford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gareth Todd in the 12th minute of play forced Southbourne's goalkeeper Marty Eastwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Sean Tetley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ritchie Bamford. Walton On The Naze's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sean Tetley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martyn Yeo to make the kick off. Lewis Payne charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lewis Payne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th minute, one of Walton On The Naze:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Walton On The Naze. Lewis Payne kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The Southbourne players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Walton On The Naze from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
