Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gareth Todd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Les Ring having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Hackney FC got a freekick which was hit by Lee Folan. Trevor Devaney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Hackney FC booed when Walton On The Naze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Payne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Holland hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. John-Paul Cotton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ritchie Bamford. Walton On The Naze's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Trevor Devaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Les Ring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trevor Devaney struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Les Ring didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walton On The Naze. In the 38th match minute, Hackney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zane Crabtree to maneuver through the defense. Dean Perkins took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Les Ring. Hackney FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Walton On The Naze's Ritchie Bamford got control of the ball when Al Potterton tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Trevor Devaney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Walton On The Naze's supporters rose to their feet, but Trevor Devaney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Les Ring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

In the 59th match minute, Hackney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zane Crabtree to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Sebastien Cooke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hackney FC's Les Ring proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Hackney FC from getting a goal against them. Ritchie Bamford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Al Potterton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trevor Devaney came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Les Ring could save by the left post. In the 74th minute Gareth Todd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Les Ring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gareth Todd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Les Ring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zane Crabtree charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zane Crabtree the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th match minute, Hackney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zane Crabtree to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Hackney FC defense, Trevor Devaney kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Les Ring. The Hackney FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Les Ring should have stopped the shot. Trevor Devaney made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 93rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Les Ring would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Walton On The Naze played a much better game than Hackney FC and deserved their victory. The Hackney FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
