Spectators: 7405 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 50) Martyn Yeo made the kick off and thus started the match. Marty Eastwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leigh Fayle, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Fraser Ashby charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fraser Ashby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Southbourne getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Fraser Ashby hit a great ball. In the 7th minute Reuben Champion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marty Eastwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reuben Champion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Southbourne's goal looked a bit too open when Leigh Fayle came free, but Marty Eastwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Southbourne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Ball to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Southbourne defense, Reuben Champion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marty Eastwood. The Southbourne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marty Eastwood should have stopped the shot. Reuben Champion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Marty Eastwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leigh Fayle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martyn Yeo in the 31st minute of play forced Trinidad's goalkeeper Ivan England to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martyn Yeo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Ivan England 35 minutes into the match. Leigh Fayle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Eastwood having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Reuben Champion cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Marty Eastwood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Reuben Champion might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marty Eastwood. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reuben Champion ran back to his position shaking his head. Reuben Champion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Trinidad were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Reuben Champion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Marty Eastwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marty Eastwood was a little too slow when Leigh Fayle got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-3. After 61 played minutes Trinidad got a freekick which was hit by Ricky Dunning. After having played for 67 minutes, Martyn Yeo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southbourne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martyn Yeo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Southbourne's goalkeeper Marty Eastwood had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reuben Champion. In the 72nd minute, Martyn Yeo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reuben Champion's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Marty Eastwood skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tony Mawson struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Marty Eastwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trinidad. Ivan England didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sean Tetley went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leigh Fayle in the 85th minute of play forced Southbourne's goalkeeper Marty Eastwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marty Eastwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leigh Fayle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reuben Champion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Eastwood having to interfere. Trinidad played a much better game than Southbourne and deserved their victory. The Southbourne players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
