Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jude Oliver made the kick off and thus started the match. After 7 played minutes Chris Cartwright rounded Boltz's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pat Boulton in the 11th minute of play forced Rippleway AFC's goalkeeper Nicky Marlow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christopher Shakespeare made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when James Pearce sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Pearce in the 22nd minute of play forced Boltz's goalkeeper Christopher Shakespeare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Pat Boulton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boltz's supporters rose to their feet, but Pat Boulton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky Marlow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when James Pearce got free with Christopher Shakespeare in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chris Cartwright recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rippleway AFC's Gerry Ripley shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Christopher Shakespeare but with some difficulty. Rippleway AFC's James Pearce got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If James Pearce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rippleway AFC's James Pearce got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ray Deighton hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when James Pearce got free with Christopher Shakespeare in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. James Pearce was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Kyle Swift hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. James Pearce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Shakespeare having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, James Pearce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rippleway AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but James Pearce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher Shakespeare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Boltz defense, James Pearce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christopher Shakespeare. The Boltz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christopher Shakespeare should have stopped the shot. When Rippleway AFC's James Pearce in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boltz's goalie prevented a goal. Christopher Shakespeare stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of James Pearce's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. James Pearce struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Christopher Shakespeare didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rippleway AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Boltz's zone, Chris Cartwright stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Shakespeare came out of the goal and Chris Cartwright tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Micheal Cartwright had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Paul Bullard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicky Marlow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. James Pearce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Christopher Shakespeare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. James Pearce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Shakespeare having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boltz's goalkeeper Christopher Shakespeare, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Boltz booed when Rippleway AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerry Ripley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute of the match Boltz got a corner. Rippleway AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. John Paul Riad ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Boltz's John Paul Riad to fire away a dangerous shot which Nicky Marlow despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rippleway AFC fully deserved thier win.
