Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sol Green made the kick off and thus started the match. After 7 played minutes Kingswear United got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Holland. Sol Green fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stewart Lloyd having to interfere. Ben Commons recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sol Green received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Stewart Lloyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Matthew Holland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kingswear United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Devils FC the free kick. If Sol Green had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Devils FC's Kelvin Haseldine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ethan Edwards narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 41 minutes of play Kingswear United's Matthew Holland was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Denny Snowdon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christopher Broadhead to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Mark Farrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christopher Broadhead fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ethan Edwards having to interfere. When Lloyd Nottingham fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kingswear United's protests and gave Lloyd Nottingham a yellow card for diving instead. Lloyd Nottingham hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Verne Leatherdale came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Kingswear United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Verne Leatherdale couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Devils FC booed when Kingswear United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Peacock didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute of the match Howard Worth sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ethan Edwards skillfully saved the ball. Kingswear United's Ethan Edwards played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christopher Broadhead in the 79th minute of play. Stewart Lloyd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ben Commons went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ben Commons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kelvin Haseldine took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ethan Edwards. Ethan Edwards dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ben Commons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stewart Lloyd having to interfere. After 94 played minutes Kingswear United got a freekick which was hit by Sol Green. Christopher Broadhead's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ethan Edwards read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play.
