The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Bullard helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Wisbech FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Pat Wood kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Rodney Slator made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Romeo Steed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bulwell AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Steed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Kitchen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jools Cardwell having to interfere. When Dominic Duke came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Bulwell AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominic Duke couldn't finish the play. Rodney Slator received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal.
