Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Harleston FC's Paul Nelthorpe started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Kidderminster Harriers getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Zack Weir hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Paul Nelthorpe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Paul Nelthorpe came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Harleston FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Nelthorpe couldn't finish the play. Tom Gamble received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Alec Barker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Paul Nelthorpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alec Barker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alec Barker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Gamble, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John-Paul Skinner kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. John-Paul Skinner's late challenge caught a Kidderminster Harriers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John-Paul Skinner helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes Harleston FC got a freekick which was hit by John-Paul Skinner. When Rob Downton came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Kidderminster Harriers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rob Downton couldn't finish the play. Alec Barker came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Harleston FC's Paul Nelthorpe. But to his dismay, Paul Nelthorpe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Kidderminster Harriers defense, Paul Nelthorpe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alec Barker. The Kidderminster Harriers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alec Barker should have stopped the shot. Peter Doona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob Downton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Kidderminster Harriers's Rob Downton ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Peter Doona. Peter Doona yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 42nd minute Rob Downton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Doona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
Peter Doona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Sugden, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to Kidderminster Harriers getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Todd Letheren hit a great ball. If Karl Sugden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, Harleston FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Nelthorpe to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the game, Paul Nelthorpe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harleston FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kidderminster Harriers the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Harleston FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Nelthorpe to maneuver through the defense. Peter Doona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob Downton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Doona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Sugden in the 70th minute of play. Todd Letheren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Peter Doona. Harleston FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 79 minutes, Rob Downton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kidderminster Harriers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rob Downton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl Sugden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Doona read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rob Downton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Doona was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Peter Doona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Sugden in the 91st minute of the match. Rob Downton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 94 minutes, Karl Sugden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kidderminster Harriers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Sugden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Doona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Sugden in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Harleston FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
