Mark Strickland hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Kidderminster's goalkeeper Rueben Pye-Finch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pete Corcoran. When Silvester Radcliffe fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kidderminster's protests and gave Silvester Radcliffe a yellow card for diving instead. Rueben Pye-Finch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zak Croxford's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Zak Croxford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pete Corcoran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Zak Croxford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rueben Pye-Finch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Lennie Webster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reggie Denham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reggie Denham's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lennie Webster read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. When Zak Croxford fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huyton United's protests and gave Zak Croxford a yellow card for diving instead. Zak Croxford kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Kidderminster getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ethan Stonehouse hit a great ball. Beinn Hopker charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beinn Hopker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 65 minutes into the game, one of Kidderminster:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 73 minutes, Brendon Rowe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kidderminster and the Huyton United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Kidderminster got a freekick which was hit by Brendon Rowe. Huyton United's Lennie Webster proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Huyton United from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Kidderminster's zone, Zak Croxford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rueben Pye-Finch came out of the goal and Zak Croxford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Zak Croxford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huyton United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zak Croxford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zak Croxford in the 86th minute of play forced Kidderminster's goalkeeper Rueben Pye-Finch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
