Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Reggie Denham made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Kidderminster Harriers's goal looked a bit too open when Reggie Denham came free, but Alec Barker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kidderminster's goalkeeper Rueben Pye-Finch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alec Barker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reggie Denham went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Kidderminster Harriers's Karl Sugden got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reggie Denham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alec Barker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Rob Downton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kidderminster Harriers's supporters rose to their feet, but Rob Downton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rueben Pye-Finch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rueben Pye-Finch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob Downton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rueben Pye-Finch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rob Downton in the 28th minute of play. After some careless play in the Kidderminster defense, Karl Sugden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rueben Pye-Finch. The Kidderminster fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rueben Pye-Finch should have stopped the shot. If Rob Downton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeffrey Clist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alec Barker having to make a save. Kidderminster Harriers's Alec Barker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reggie Denham in the 42nd minute of play. If Jeffrey Clist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When Reggie Denham came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Kidderminster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reggie Denham couldn't finish the play. Jeffrey Clist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alec Barker having to make a save. Alec Barker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reggie Denham's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Karl Sugden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rueben Pye-Finch having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Kidderminster Harriers's goal looked a bit too open when Reggie Denham came free, but Alec Barker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kidderminster's goalkeeper Rueben Pye-Finch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Karl Sugden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rueben Pye-Finch. Kidderminster's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl Sugden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Karl Sugden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Kidderminster Harriers getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rob Downton hit a great ball. Jeffrey Clist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
