Frankie Hulbert who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Ray Bassett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Fairfield's zone, Vinnie Carter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hayden Hanson came out of the goal and Vinnie Carter tried to chip the ball over his head. After 75 played minutes Fairfield got a freekick which was hit by David Drury. If Vinnie Carter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brad East fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayden Hanson having to interfere. BAC FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Fairfield were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
