Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rob Harding started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Denzil Bettinson put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leigh Draper. In the 6th minute Mickey Wardman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leigh Draper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Rob Harding dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Martyn Cheeseman, 1-1. Rob Harding blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martyn Cheeseman having to make a save. In the 23rdth minute of the game Rob Harding who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Geddington City's Martyn Cheeseman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 27 minutes, Rob Harding made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Geddington City's Martyn Cheeseman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Pewsey FC's Rob Harding dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Geddington City's zone, Rob Harding stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martyn Cheeseman came out of the goal and Rob Harding tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rob Harding in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martyn Cheeseman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Perry Hedges succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-1 in the 46th playminute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mickey Wardman to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Mickey Wardman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leigh Draper was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 61 minutes into the match, Geddington City's goal looked a bit too open when Rob Harding came free, but Martyn Cheeseman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martyn Cheeseman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob Harding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leigh Draper was a little too slow when Mickey Wardman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 4-2. After 72 minutes, Chip Lineker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geddington City and the Pewsey FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chip Lineker kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Chip Lineker was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Geddington City getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Chip Lineker hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Rob Harding got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martyn Cheeseman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perry Hedges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mickey Wardman kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Martyn Cheeseman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rob Harding, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Geddington City's zone, Matty Walker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martyn Cheeseman came out of the goal and Matty Walker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pewsey FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
