Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Denzil Bettinson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geddington City's supporters rose to their feet, but Denzil Bettinson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ray Ellershaw breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute, Denzil Bettinson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geddington City's Mickey Wardman got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wes Langsford charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wes Langsford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wes Langsford hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When Mickey Wardman came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Geddington City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mickey Wardman couldn't finish the play. After 29 played minutes, Keyworth's Gez Creighton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martyn Cheeseman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Keyworth reached it. Chip Lineker hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. A collision led to Keyworth getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Huey Mawson hit a great ball. Geddington City's Mickey Wardman got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Geddington City booed when Keyworth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Osbourn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mickey Wardman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ray Ellershaw made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denzil Bettinson in the 38th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Denzil Bettinson could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Ray Ellershaw however easily saved by the left post. Wes Langsford hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Denzil Bettinson struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Ray Ellershaw didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geddington City. Denzil Bettinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes into the game, Geddington City's Denzil Bettinson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ray Ellershaw made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Geddington City's Glen Holmes got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Devon Lamb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ray Ellershaw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Wardman in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Geddington City's Mickey Wardman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ray Ellershaw narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Denzil Bettinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ray Ellershaw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mickey Wardman in the 68th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mickey Wardman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ray Ellershaw was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Nicholas Osbourn kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Chip Lineker hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Mickey Wardman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ray Ellershaw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denzil Bettinson scored 2-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ray Ellershaw, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Denzil Bettinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ray Ellershaw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ray Ellershaw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickey Wardman, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Mickey Wardman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geddington City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mickey Wardman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
