Ed Draper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harvey Noble, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Dunn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Draper having to interfere. Louis Reynolds charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Louis Reynolds the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Stowmarket booed when Acton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis Reynolds didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Toby Starr shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ed Draper showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harvey Noble in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ed Draper saved Acton FC from getting behind. In the 31stth minute of the game Harvey Noble who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acton FC's Ed Draper was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stowmarket's Harvey Noble got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Acton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Harvey Noble came free, but Ed Draper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ed Draper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Les Steele, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Stowmarket's Harvey Noble got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Acton FC's zone, Harvey Noble stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ed Draper came out of the goal and Harvey Noble tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stowmarket's Harvey Noble got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marty Blewitt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ed Draper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harvey Noble in the 46th minute of play forced Acton FC's goalkeeper Ed Draper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harvey Noble was the one to do the kick off. Harvey Noble in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ed Draper, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Harvey Noble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harvey Noble fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Draper having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Marty Blewitt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ed Draper was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Harvey Noble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. Harvey Noble recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harvey Noble got free with Ed Draper in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Acton FC's Ed Draper got control of the ball when Marty Blewitt tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Marty Blewitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Acton FC's goalkeeper Ed Draper, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Harvey Noble sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marty Blewitt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ed Draper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stowmarket's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
