Spectators: 7598 (Terracing: 5700, Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonny Jones started the match with the kick off. Steve Bridgeman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zak Howden in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5thth minute of the game Jonny Jones who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zulu Army's Steve Bridgeman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Biggleswade's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Leslie came free, but Steven Patten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrew Holden charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrew Holden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute of the match Jermaine Bramble shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steve Bridgeman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Steve Bridgeman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zak Howden in the 19th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Jonny Jones had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Steve Bridgeman. Zulu Army's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonny Jones was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Zulu Army's Steve Bridgeman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonny Jones in the 26th minute of play. Frank Leslie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Biggleswade's Steven Patten got control of the ball when Malcolm McAleer tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Adrian Roebuck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zulu Army's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Biggleswade the free kick. The supporters of Biggleswade booed when Zulu Army was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Roebuck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Zulu Army's zone, Jonny Jones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Bridgeman came out of the goal and Jonny Jones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Zulu Army's Andrew Holden got a free kick in the 36th minute. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zulu Army's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jermaine Bramble was slow to take the kick. During this time Biggleswade's players had a chance to rest. Steve Bridgeman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonny Jones in the 42nd minute of the match. Steven Patten was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Grant Battersby. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Leslie was the one to do the kick off. Zak Howden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Jonny Jones lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Steve Bridgeman. Jonny Jones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Biggleswade's Jermaine Bramble broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Steve Bridgeman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zak Howden in the 70th minute. Malcolm McAleer might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steven Patten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Malcolm McAleer ran back to his position shaking his head. Biggleswade's Steven Patten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Leslie in the 78th minute of play. If Malcolm McAleer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steve Bridgeman came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Biggleswade's Zak Howden. But to his dismay, Zak Howden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Zulu Army's Grant Battersby got a free kick in the 87th minute. A collision led to Biggleswade getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Zak Howden hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonny Jones in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steve Bridgeman prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
