Julian Pallister's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bobby Halloran firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 8thth minute of the game Gav Lester who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Warrington warrior's Ollie Attwood was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gav Lester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute Don Key shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bobby Halloran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Julian Pallister could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Bobby Halloran however easily saved by the left post. Sonny Alsford could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Bobby Halloran made a huge save. Arsenal's Bobby Halloran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Key in the 25th minute of play. Arsenal's Bobby Halloran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Key in the 28th minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Bobby Halloran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Pallister could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Bobby Halloran made a huge save. If Gav Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Don Key came free, but Bobby Halloran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Julian Pallister came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Warrington warrior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Pallister couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Arsenal's Bobby Halloran got control of the ball when Julian Pallister tried to sneak it across the goal line. Warrington warrior's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Philip Dobby in the 41st minute. A nice corner shot did that Philip Dobby got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bobby Halloran quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 43rd minute, Julian Pallister made a precise shot to the right of Bobby Halloran. Arsenal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Felix Flack made the kick off in the second half. Bobby Halloran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Pallister in the 55th minute of the match. Bobby Halloran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Key, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Arsenal's Gav Lester in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bobby Halloran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gav Lester could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Ollie Attwood made a huge save. Arsenal's Bobby Halloran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Key in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Warrington warrior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Reading to maneuver through the defense. Warrington warrior's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
