In the 15th minute, Malcolm McAleer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bobby Halloran was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bobby Halloran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Leslie, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm McAleer in the 31st minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Bobby Halloran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bobby Halloran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Leslie in the 33rd minute of the match. Bobby Halloran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Leslie, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute, Arsenal's Johnathan Banks ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Steve Bridgeman. Steve Bridgeman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The Arsenal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zulu Army were winning 1-3.

Bobby Halloran came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Zulu Army's Malcolm McAleer. In the 58th minute, Den Burns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zulu Army's zone, Jimmy Wilmott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Bridgeman came out of the goal and Jimmy Wilmott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martyn Young kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Johnathan Banks kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Frank Leslie's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Bobby Halloran skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Malcolm McAleer came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bobby Halloran could save by the left post. Bobby Halloran was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Benji Rashleigh. If Felix Flack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
