Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alastair West started the match with the kick off. Ollie Attwood made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Darren Craven sent off a good shot on target. 6 minutes into the match, Crowthorne's goal looked a bit too open when Don Key came free, but Dale Furlong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Warrington warrior's Julian Pallister got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Crowthorne's Basil Deeney got a free kick in the 15th minute. Julian Pallister hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Darren Craven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ollie Attwood having to interfere. Alastair West sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute Don Key shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dale Furlong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Philip Dobby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alastair West struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ollie Attwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crowthorne. After 47 minutes of play, Warrington warrior's Don Key made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dale Furlong was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Don Key to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Crowthorne's goalkeeper Dale Furlong had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Pallister. Dale Furlong was a little too slow when Don Key got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-3. Ollie Attwood came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Crowthorne's Darren Craven. But to his dismay, Darren Craven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 74th minute of the match Crowthorne got a corner. Warrington warrior's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Basil Deeney ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dale Furlong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sonny Alsford in the 75th minute. Warrington warrior's Ollie Attwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darren Craven in the 79th minute of play.
