Felix Flack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 54th minute, Denzil Higginson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bobby Halloran was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 61st minute, Seth Litchfield reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bobby Halloran. The goal made the score 0-3. 64 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Seth Litchfield came free, but Bobby Halloran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bobby Halloran didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 66th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. When Vance White fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester Utd's protests and gave Vance White a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Manchester Utd getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. After 90 played minutes Arsenal got a freekick which was hit by Robert Togwell. In the 97th minute of the match, Don Portway got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bobby Halloran was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Manchester Utd had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
