The wind increased when Alastair West made the kick off in the second half. If Don Portway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Seth Litchfield who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crowthorne's Dale Furlong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Andre Hotte fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crowthorne's protests and gave Andre Hotte a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Manchester Utd booed when Crowthorne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Hotte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 played minutes Crowthorne got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Clegg. Ed Chadwick didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnnie Blake went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score.
