Ed Chadwick was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Manchester Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Don Key scored to the left of an out of position Ed Chadwick, making the score, 2-1. Warrington warrior's Ollie Attwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Portway in the 13th minute of play. Manchester Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warrington warrior the free kick. 20 minutes into the match, Manchester Utd's goalkeeper Ed Chadwick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Pallister. After 22 played minutes Warrington warrior got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Hamer. Ed Chadwick made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Julian Pallister sent off a good shot on target. Ollie Attwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ty Sills in the 26th minute of the match. Don Portway blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ollie Attwood having to make a save. Ty Sills struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ollie Attwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester Utd. In the 33rd minute, Ty Sills left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. A collision led to Warrington warrior getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Sonny Alsford hit a great ball. After having played for 48 minutes, Don Portway managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don Portway was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Don Portway made a kick off. Marcus Hamer kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Warrington warrior's goal looked a bit too open when Don Portway came free, but Ollie Attwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Don Key recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Manchester Utd's David Sawyer got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Manchester Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Don Key came free, but Ed Chadwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Warrington warrior's Don Key sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ed Chadwick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Key in the 70th minute of play forced Manchester Utd's goalkeeper Ed Chadwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ed Chadwick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Key, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Don Key fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Chadwick having to interfere. The supporters of Warrington warrior booed when Manchester Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huey Woodman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Ollie Attwood managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Manchester Utd's Ty Sills fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 83 minutes, Ty Sills managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ty Sills was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Don Key had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Dunning kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Philip Dobby came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Warrington warrior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philip Dobby couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes Manchester Utd got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Crawshaw. Ed Chadwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Key in the 93rd minute of the match. Manchester Utd's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
