The referee ignored derik fc's protests and gave Graeme Sanderson a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes derik fc got a freekick which was hit by Graeme Sanderson. In the 25th minute, Gez Mawson made a precise shot to the right of Norman Wakefield. derik fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Connor Carey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swanage City's supporters rose to their feet, but Connor Carey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norman Wakefield breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in derik fc's zone, Gez Mawson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norman Wakefield came out of the goal and Gez Mawson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gez Mawson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Connor Carey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, derik fc's Jonathan Marenghi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toby Doughty narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to derik fc getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Graeme Sanderson hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Connor Carey made a precise shot to the right of Norman Wakefield. derik fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half Swanage City were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Toby Doughty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Bateson, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Zackary Kenworthy was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. In the 59th minute of the match Sacha French sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toby Doughty skillfully saved the ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind derik fc's goalkeeper Norman Wakefield, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stuart Bateson hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, derik fc's goalkeeper Norman Wakefield had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Connor Carey. The referee gave Stuart Bateson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. With a little luck, derik fc's Norman Wakefield got control of the ball when Connor Carey tried to sneak it across the goal line. Swanage City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
