Spectators: 7658 (Terracing: 5745, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Max Scriven made the kick off which started today's match. After 3 minutes of play, Didcot AFC's Isac Carvalhais made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cody Theobold was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 6 minutes, Isac Carvalhais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Didcot AFC and the Wigan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Didcot AFC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Isac Carvalhais hit a great ball. Kristopher Tomlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Scriven in the 8th minute of the match. Warren Rotherfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reuben Rothwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cody Theobold having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Reuben Rothwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Max Scriven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wigan's supporters rose to their feet, but Max Scriven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristopher Tomlin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Reuben Rothwell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristopher Tomlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Scriven in the 30th minute of the match. After 37 minutes, Dennis Douglas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wigan and the Didcot AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Dennis Douglas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Reuben Rothwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Didcot AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reuben Rothwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cody Theobold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th match minute, Wigan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Styles to maneuver through the defense. Wigan's Cody Theobold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Rotherfield in the 40th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Drew Billing in the 52nd minute of play forced Wigan's goalkeeper Cody Theobold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Warren Rotherfield came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Didcot AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Rotherfield couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Wigan's Joey Goldthorpe got a free kick in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Wigan defense, Warren Rotherfield kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cody Theobold. The Wigan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cody Theobold should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Wigan's goal looked a bit too open when Warren Rotherfield came free, but Cody Theobold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marek Styles charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marek Styles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Wigan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Styles to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Wigan's goal looked a bit too open when Pat Bartlett came free, but Cody Theobold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Joey Goldthorpe collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. When Isac Carvalhais was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 70 minutes had been played. In the 72nd match minute, Didcot AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Carvalhais to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wigan's goalkeeper Cody Theobold, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cody Theobold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Rotherfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute of the match Robin Bromley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cody Theobold skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wigan's zone, Drew Billing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cody Theobold came out of the goal and Drew Billing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Didcot AFC's Pierre Tate was substituted for Drew Billing. In the 87th minute of the match Didcot AFC got a corner. Wigan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pat Bartlett ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Didcot AFC's Glyn Skinner getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Warren Rotherfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Warren Rotherfield in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cody Theobold saved Wigan from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Wigan's zone, Reuben Rothwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cody Theobold came out of the goal and Reuben Rothwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Warren Rotherfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Cody Theobold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Didcot AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
