Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Archie Blueman made the kick off and thus started the match. Pete Courtney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jermaine Branch in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jermaine Branch in the 9th minute of play forced Stockport Rockers's goalkeeper Pete Courtney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trev Rawson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Jonathan Marenghi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sacha French hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Eddy Woodier's late challenge caught a Stockport Rockers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eddy Woodier helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 22 minutes, Jermaine Branch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. derik fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jermaine Branch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, derik fc's Sacha French broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Jonathan Marenghi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jermaine Branch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Courtney having to interfere. Jonathan Marenghi scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pete Courtney, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jermaine Branch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Courtney having to interfere. A collision led to Stockport Rockers getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Kenny Hackney hit a great ball. After the first half derik fc were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jermaine Branch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jermaine Branch in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pete Courtney saved Stockport Rockers from getting behind. The supporters of derik fc booed when Stockport Rockers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graeme Reed didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jermaine Branch, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 59 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Pete Courtney was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stockport Rockers's goalkeeper Pete Courtney, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jermaine Branch in the 65th minute of play forced Stockport Rockers's goalkeeper Pete Courtney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jermaine Branch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pete Courtney made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Jonathan Marenghi sent off a good shot on target. Graeme Sanderson's late challenge caught a Stockport Rockers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, derik fc's Graeme Sanderson got a free kick in the 92nd minute. With a little luck, Stockport Rockers's Pete Courtney got control of the ball when Jonathan Marenghi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Stockport Rockers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. derik fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
