Shane Speight sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aldeburgh FC's Darius Wilmott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Proctor in the 6th minute of play. If George Proctor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darius Wilmott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Proctor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, John King hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Aldeburgh FC's goalkeeper Darius Wilmott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shane Speight. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Stone:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Aldeburgh FC:s goal. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for Aldeburgh FC. Felix Gibson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Stu Freeman. 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Aldeburgh FC's Ritchie Routledge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stu Freeman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Aldeburgh FC booed when Stone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicky Reynolds didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicky Reynolds kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Stu Freeman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ritchie Routledge in the 33rd minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Ritchie Routledge notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Stone's Stu Freeman. Stu Freeman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. John King could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Darius Wilmott made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Stone's Nicky Reynolds got a free kick in the 47th minute. The corner ended in Felix Gibson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Stone's Stu Freeman did a great save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Shane Speight fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darius Wilmott having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Shane Speight managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stone's supporters rose to their feet, but Shane Speight was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darius Wilmott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ritchie Routledge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stone's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ritchie Routledge 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brian Weir during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sidney Harris, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 80th minute, Ian Fairfax hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Shane Speight got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antony Gavan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Stu Freeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Antony Gavan came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Aldeburgh FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antony Gavan couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Ritchie Routledge dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stu Freeman, 2-4. In the 98th minute, one of Stone:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stone. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Aldeburgh FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
