Marek Froggatt came out of the goal and Daniel Blythe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the game, Tod Drury cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marek Froggatt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the match, Daniel Blythe notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of No Name Boys's Marek Froggatt. Marek Froggatt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vance McGovern charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vance McGovern the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Bristol Black Horse got a freekick which was hit by Vance McGovern. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Walmsley in the 16th minute of play forced Bristol Black Horse's goalkeeper Peter Ingram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th match minute, Bristol Black Horse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deon Smith to maneuver through the defense. Bristol Black Horse's Peter Ingram proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Bristol Black Horse from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, Bristol Black Horse's goal looked a bit too open when Nigel Walmsley came free, but Peter Ingram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nigel Walmsley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Bristol Black Horse's goal looked a bit too open when Nigel Walmsley came free, but Peter Ingram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marek Froggatt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Blythe went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 45th minute, Vance McGovern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitch Lowe hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 50th minute, when No Name Boys's Perry Sheehan after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Peter Ingram in Bristol Black Horse's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nigel Walmsley made a kick off. Daniel Blythe struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Marek Froggatt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bristol Black Horse. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Tod Drury managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bristol Black Horse's supporters rose to their feet, but Tod Drury was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marek Froggatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vance McGovern got free with Marek Froggatt in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rufus Crowther in the 67th minute of play forced Bristol Black Horse's goalkeeper Peter Ingram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Ingram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nigel Walmsley in the 68th minute of the match. If Tod Drury had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Vance McGovern managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bristol Black Horse's supporters rose to their feet, but Vance McGovern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marek Froggatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, No Name Boys's Marek Froggatt got control of the ball when Daniel Blythe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peter Ingram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nigel Walmsley in the 82nd minute of the match. Peter Ingram took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufus Crowther, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marek Froggatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Blythe in the 84th minute of play. Tod Drury fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Froggatt having to interfere. Vance McGovern blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marek Froggatt having to make a save. In the 93rd minute Nigel Walmsley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Blythe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mitch Lowe hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Nigel Walmsley might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Ingram. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nigel Walmsley ran back to his position shaking his head. Bristol Black Horse played a much better game than No Name Boys and deserved their victory. The No Name Boys players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
