Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gwyn North started the match with the kick off. Richard Wootton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Froggatt having to interfere. Gwyn Davis took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marek Froggatt. Marek Froggatt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Nigel Walmsley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gwyn Davis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Marek Froggatt made a huge save. Gwyn North was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 21 minutes into the match, oldham united's Gwyn North sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marek Froggatt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marek Froggatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwyn North, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Gwyn North managed to get in a good position for a shot. oldham united's supporters rose to their feet, but Gwyn North was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marek Froggatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, oldham united's Gwyn North dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. oldham united's Scott Sutton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rufus Crowther in the 34th minute of play. Rufus Crowther received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Scott Sutton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nigel Walmsley was the one to do the kick off. Gwyn Davis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marek Froggatt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Gwyn North managed to get in a good position for a shot. oldham united's supporters rose to their feet, but Gwyn North was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marek Froggatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marek Froggatt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwyn North, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gwyn North in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marek Froggatt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gwyn Davis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Froggatt having to interfere. Marek Froggatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwyn North in the 68th minute of play. No Name Boys's Marek Froggatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwyn Davis in the 69th minute of play. Richard Wootton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 minutes of play, oldham united's Gwyn Davis made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marek Froggatt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marek Froggatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwyn North in the 82nd minute of play. Rufus Crowther sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gwyn North's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marek Froggatt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Gwyn North left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The oldham united fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Gwyn Davis scored 5-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marek Froggatt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. oldham united walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
