In the 9thth minute of the game Gwyn North who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YNWA United's Kev Tonkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. YNWA United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gwyn North 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a rather tough play, oldham united's Gwyn Davis got a free kick in the 24th minute. Kev Tonkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwyn North, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. oldham united's Gwyn North got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 played minutes oldham united got a freekick which was hit by Henry Halloran. After a defensive mix-up in oldham united's zone, Shane Hoskins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Scott Sutton came out of the goal and Shane Hoskins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, oldham united's Gwyn Davis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kev Tonkin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Gwyn Davis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Gwyn North made the kick off in the second half. Kev Tonkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwyn Davis in the 52nd minute of the match. Kev Tonkin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gwyn North went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Gwyn North fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kev Tonkin having to interfere. Gwyn Davis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kev Tonkin having to interfere. Kev Tonkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwyn North in the 64th minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, oldham united's Gwyn Davis got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute, Gwyn Davis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 80 minutes, Gwyn Davis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. oldham united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gwyn Davis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Shane Hoskins came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the YNWA United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shane Hoskins couldn't finish the play. Kev Tonkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwyn Davis, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Gwyn Davis scored 6-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kev Tonkin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Grant Senior's late challenge caught a YNWA United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grant Senior helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, oldham united's Grant Senior got a free kick in the 89th minute. YNWA United's Keanu Barr couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for oldham united. If Gwyn Davis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
