Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 2nd minute, Mickey Bartrup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Blythe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Sebastien Swallow in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Bristol Black Horse's Alex Sandell. Haydock AFC's Matty Gulliver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tod Drury in the 14th minute of play. When Vance McGovern fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bristol Black Horse's protests and gave Vance McGovern a yellow card for diving instead. Matty Gulliver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Blythe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Tod Drury kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matty Gulliver. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Rio Dunning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Ingram having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vance McGovern got free with Matty Gulliver in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matty Gulliver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vance McGovern in the 37th minute. Vance McGovern kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Tod Drury managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bristol Black Horse's supporters rose to their feet, but Tod Drury was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matty Gulliver breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After a rather tough play, Bristol Black Horse's Vance McGovern got a free kick in the 54th minute. A hard shot by Grant Bator from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Peter Ingram's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Haydock AFC's Ralf Dobson got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alf Barton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Peter Ingram made a huge save. In the 60th minute of the match Jordan Crowell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peter Ingram skillfully saved the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Bristol Black Horse's Tod Drury made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matty Gulliver was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Deon Smith fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bristol Black Horse's protests and gave Deon Smith a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Bristol Black Horse got a freekick which was hit by Deon Smith. Daniel Blythe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Matty Gulliver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Blythe in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matty Gulliver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tod Drury came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Bristol Black Horse fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tod Drury couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Bristol Black Horse players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
