Spectators: 7454 (Terracing: 5628, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nigel Walmsley took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Fred Hughes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No Name Boys's Marek Froggatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Hickson in the 9th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nigel Walmsley in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Talbot saved Epic United from getting behind. Ashley Bartram received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Marek Froggatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fred Hughes came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Epic United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Hughes couldn't finish the play. Ashley Bartram could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Marek Froggatt made a huge save. Pedro Talbot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rufus Crowther in the 24th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rufus Crowther sped through Epic United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Talbot. Nigel Walmsley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vinnie Lewington during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vinnie Lewington kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Hughes in the 37th minute of play forced No Name Boys's goalkeeper Marek Froggatt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Alan Appleton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Hughes in the 45th minute of play forced No Name Boys's goalkeeper Marek Froggatt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Talbot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rufus Crowther in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinnie Lewington in the 51st minute of play forced Epic United's goalkeeper Pedro Talbot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steve Hickson during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Steve Hickson hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd match minute, No Name Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rufus Crowther to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Epic United booed when No Name Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Toulson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Epic United's Sebastian Trusswell tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Damon Bridgeman charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damon Bridgeman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes Epic United got a freekick which was hit by Damon Bridgeman. Rufus Crowther recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when No Name Boys's Nigel Walmsley in the 66th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Pedro Talbot was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Epic United through an amazing save. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Nigel Walmsley managed to get in a good position for a shot. No Name Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Nigel Walmsley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Talbot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Talbot came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by No Name Boys's Rufus Crowther. But to his dismay, Rufus Crowther quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some careless play in the Epic United defense, Rufus Crowther kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Talbot. The Epic United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Talbot should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, No Name Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Hughes came free, but Marek Froggatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rufus Crowther's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Pedro Talbot skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pedro Talbot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Walmsley, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Epic United's goalkeeper Pedro Talbot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Fred Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Epic United's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marek Froggatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fred Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Epic United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching No Name Boys's performance. The match ended with a win for No Name Boys.
