Thetford AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Terry Shepherd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Aspinall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grant Ricketts charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grant Ricketts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, Grant Ricketts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kayaibanda's Chris Bolton in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Chris Bolton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Terry Shepherd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jason McRobbie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Bell in the 28th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Andy Story-Moore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thetford AFC and the Kayaibanda players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 29 played minutes Thetford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Andy Story-Moore. Chris Bolton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jason McRobbie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jason McRobbie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Bell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Darryl Speight made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Chris Bolton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jason McRobbie. Thetford AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chris Bolton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Chris Bolton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Thetford AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Loyd Edworthy hit a great ball. Chris Bolton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason McRobbie having to interfere. If Daniel Bell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andy Story-Moore hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Thetford AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Daniel Bell 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Jason McRobbie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Bell in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 79th minute Daniel Bell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason McRobbie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes Daniel Bell rounded Thetford AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. 86 minutes into the game, Chris Bolton lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Jason McRobbie. When Calum Currie fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kayaibanda's protests and gave Calum Currie a yellow card for diving instead. Calum Currie kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Kayaibanda got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Bell. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Bolton got free with Jason McRobbie in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kayaibanda's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
